Busy Brewers Fayre pub with a heavy emphasis on the family. Like other pubs in the chain the Anchor is a multi-roomed establishment with various eating and drinking areas as well as amusement for children. Disabled facilities are good with separate toilets for wheelchair users. Bed and breakfast accommodation is available and the pub opens to non-residents for breakfast at 7:30am every day of the year and serves food 7:30am to 10:00pm. Alcoholic drinks are served within normal opening hours of 11:00am until 11:00pm Monday to Saturday and 12:00 noon until 10:30pm Sundays. The A65 crosses the Leeds and Liverpool Canal here and both road and canal provide much passing trade. Camping available nearby.
